Description

This is an 20 acre area with the some really nice shaded spots to set up camp.
We provide a large restroom with a rainwater flush toilet ,sink and cleaners.
We also have a nice solar shower that is very refreshing.
It's a large property where you can have some privacy.
The evenings are highlighted by a canopy of stars as there is no street lights.

The setting

This is a very quiet setting where the stars are clearly (email hidden)We try to keep the noise down but are not opposed to some nice music.
There is very little traffic as we are near the end of a dead end rd.

The spots

The campsites are equipped with a nice fire pit and all have a nice live oak to provide shade during the summer months.

The sanitary facilities

There is a good sized washroom with a standard toilet.
The private solar shower is next to the restroom as well.
There is a sink and water in the washroom

The amenities

There is an outdoor kitchen with pots and pans.
Guests are encouraged to bring their own firewood or may purchase a bundle for $7

The activities

San Marcos has one of the cleanest rivers in the state.
It is a spring fed river and provides lots of options for guests.
There is tubing as well as kayaking and canoeing.
We can rent any of these. Please inquire for pricing.
There is also Spring lake hiking trails that are 10 min drive from camp

Other things

San Marcos being a small town offers a low key atmosphere.
We have a newly rebuilt library and the outlet mall is nearby as well for those who cannot resist a shopping spree.

Rules

Check in time is 3pm-7 pm. If you have issue with these times please contact me in advance of booking The rules are simple. If you haul it in haul it out. No smoking. Avoid the shop areas and house . (clearly designated) If you need help please text or call

Outstanding

  • Stay on johns property for a weekend with my brother and 2 friends. We had a blast there hanging out and getting away from the city of Austin. John was very friendly, helpful, and an awesome guy all around. His property was very well kept and maintained, with excellent variety of places to set camp. I would, and will use Johns services again in the future.
